During the retention period of orthodontic treatments, we can apply two methods to prevent the deterioration of our patients' teeth; protective plates or internal protective wires. If the plaques given to prevent deterioration of the teeth are not worn as recommended by the orthodontist with the thought of ‘treatment is over’ after the braces are removed, deterioration of the teeth is inevitable. We recommend our patients to wear their aligners with this awareness.
