LAMİNA

They are porcelain leaves with a thickness of approximately 0.5 mm, which are bonded with special adhesives with minimal or no abrasion from the enamel part on the front surface of the teeth. Since they are very thin, they have high light transmittance. In this way, it can aesthetically imitate the natural tooth appearance. Since only a small abrasion is performed on the front part of the teeth, the tooth tissue is protected and there is no procedure on the back of the tooth. It can be easily applied when the patient does not want orthodontic treatment (if there is no severe crowding) or in cases where there is a gap between the teeth. Teeth can be lengthened and reshaped. Broken, cracked, badly shaped teeth can have a beautiful appearance. Although porcelain laminates are very thin, they become resistant to breakage when they are bonded to the teeth with special methods. It should be worked precisely both in the preparation, construction and bonding phase. In this way, it becomes a whole with the teeth in the mouth. Today, they are considered as one of the most aesthetic and ideal treatment methods. When deciding on the treatment, intraoral measurements are taken and a design is made on models or digitally. This design is transferred to the patient's mouth. Thus, an idea about the post-treatment is obtained. Afterwards, in cases where gingival levelling is not required, the new appearance is achieved in a short period of 1 week. There is no difference in terms of oral care. Teeth and gums should be brushed and dental floss should be applied. The porcelain surface can maintain its colour for many years without any change.
