PROSTHETIC TOOTH TREATMENT

There are 3 treatment methods to complete the gaps caused by tooth loss in terms of function and aesthetics.

1. Implant prostheses
2. Fixed crowns and bridges
3. Removable prostheses
4. Implant prostheses

Implants act as artificial tooth roots. They are placed into the bone and support fixed or removable prostheses. Prosthesis application is started 2-6 months after the implant is applied into the bone. During this period, the patient can use temporary prostheses. Implants are applied to support prostheses in single or multiple tooth deficiencies and complete tooth deficiencies. In implant-supported bridge prostheses, neighbouring healthy teeth are not touched and neighbouring teeth are not eroded as in traditional bridges. In implant-supported complete dentures, retention and stability are increased. The patient can chew and speak more easily.

Fixed crowns and bridges

These are prostheses made to fill the gaps that occur in one or more tooth deficiencies and to restore the strength and aesthetics in teeth that have suffered excessive material loss. This treatment is applied in order to protect the health of the teeth in the mouth and to provide oral functions in a healthy way. In this treatment, neighbouring teeth are abraded and turned into support teeth. Prostheses are glued on the cut teeth. -metal supported crowns and bridges: metal structure is used as substructure material. Aesthetic porcelain structure is placed on it. It is especially preferred in the back regions. - full porcelain crowns without metal support: Due to the full light transmission of full porcelain crowns, an appearance similar to natural teeth is obtained. For this reason, they are especially preferred for front teeth. Since there is no metal in the substructure, there is no black appearance at the junction with the gum. When the gum is removed, there is no deterioration in the aesthetic appearance as a black metal will not appear. - zirconium crowns and bridges without metal support: Zirconium, which is both aesthetic and durable material, is a white alloy. For this reason, it is used both in the anterior and posterior regions. At the same time, since it is a material that is very compatible with the gums, it does not cause allergic reactions. It can be used both as a substructure support and as an aesthetic material on its own.

Removable prostheses

These are prostheses that can be worn and removed by the patient and applied instead of missing teeth. Total dentures are applied in cases where all natural teeth are missing. In cases where some teeth are in the mouth, partial (partial) prostheses are applied. Types of removable prosthesis: -Total prostheses: are dentures that do not contain all of the natural teeth and can be worn and removed. - overdentures: prostheses that are applied after preparation on several existing teeth or roots in the mouth. -Partial (partial) prostheses: prostheses that can be hooked (hooked) supported by natural teeth and removable prostheses and prostheses that are supported by the remaining teeth more aesthetically with sensitive connection. -metal supported crowns and bridges: metal structure is used as substructure material. Aesthetic porcelain structure comes on it. Denture care

For oral health, food residues in dentures should be cleaned after each meal. In fixed prostheses, prosthesis and gingival joints should be brushed, under-bridge dental floss, interface brushes and mouth shower should be used for under the prosthesis. In removable prostheses, cleaning can be done with a soft brush and liquid soap. Cleaning with hard materials should be avoided. Chemicals and detergents should not be used. We should not clean under pressurised water under the tap so that it does not fall into the sink and break. Cleaning can be done in a container filled with water. During sleep, the denture should be kept in normal water or water with denture cleaning tablets. -Total dentures: are dentures that do not contain all of the natural teeth and can be worn and removed. - overdentures: prostheses that are applied after preparation on a few existing teeth or roots in the mouth. -Partial (partial) prostheses: prostheses that can be hooked (hooked) supported by natural teeth and can be worn and removed, and prostheses that are supported by the remaining teeth more aesthetically with sensitive connection. -metal supported crowns and bridges: metal structure is used as substructure material.
